Default Increased battery discharge

Hey I have a 08 550i, I was at work and when I left that warning sign came on and so did my check engine light. I had a new headlight instead and new parking sensor installed recently to a car accident. And I lost my spare key inside the car i have no clue how. If you guys can give me some help that'll be appreciated.

How old is your battery? Weak battery will give you warnings like that. Fans that run after the engine is stopped and fuel pumps that prime while the car is off will increase likelihood of increased battery discharge.

Try to find the spare key that's still inside your car. My guess is the key is probably being sensed by the car and it's staying awake waiting for you to start the car.

The only sign that came on was increased battery drainage and my check engine light other than that nothing else.

I've looked for it like crazy. The only other spots I can think of is the vents from the bottom the seats and I can't see or reach anything in there.

I'm planning on taking the cattery tomorrow to go get check I haven't had the time with work to see the date on it.

Timing is everything....was just reading this in bimmerpub:
Advanced BMW Parasitic Battery Draw Diagnostics : the bimmer pub

Also your body repair job may have caused this...
Good luck

Don't think spare key would be the culprit as I always leave my key in car overnight in my garage and never had a problem with it.
