Just collected my car and the nav is reading about 20 yards different to where I actually am, so it has me driving off road ! Anyone experienced this and know how to reset the navigation ?

I had something very similar when I collected my car (a long time ago now!) - it would be about 20yards out for turnings etc. The dealer did something to reset the SW and it snapped back in line and I have never seen it since.

20 yards is pretty good.
The worst that happened to me was... I found myself driving through Poland on the map, but was in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. A difference of just about 1000 Km's.
But it only happened for a couple days.

[/quote]Cannot get to that site from work, but....GPS constellation is healthy. We are moving a few around (drifting), but have plenty to satisfy all civil and military applications. It takes 24 satellites for a full constellation and we have 28 up and running. The first Modernized (IIR[M]) was launched a little more than a week ago and will undergo a 120 day shakedown. Next launch with the 2nd new modernized IIR(M) version is slated for NET 1 FEB '06.

In yacht GPS a common cause for slight errors is due to incorrect setting of the map standard - there are different conventions used for different maps, though gradually standardising - eg most yacht charts in UK were OSGB nased, but newer ones are WGS84. Detaiols irrelevant, but can be 50-100m different (enough to hit a rock on a yacht).
