Okay...now I am truly getting raped by my insurance company because they charge a $1,000 deductible for even my cracked windshield. I pay about $250 per month with a $1,000 deductible (comprehensive & collision). is that good for a new jersey driver? by the way, I have no points at all

I wanted to ask all New Jersey (tri-state drivers) to post their insurance details if you guys don't mind. I am in the market to look for a new company.

Please provide:

1) Insurance company name:
2) State you live in:
3) How many points you have:
4) How much do you pay per month:
5) What is your deductible:
6) How old you are:

Please help out as i am in need for a really good insurance company

I am 22, I pay about $150 a month with a $500 deductible. I dont know what my score is but i have had a few claims and some convictions on my record.

I have State Farm... My agent pulled some special tricks to save money.

I live in Chicago suburbs though. I dont know how much of a difference Jersey would make... shouldnt be THAT much.

Im also in NJ. I pay $1,300/yr. Mercury. They were the cheapest. I think Alstate gives a BMW discount as well.

In NJ you need to get yourself into NJM otherwise you're going to be royally butt-f*cked. The "regular" insurance companies wanted to charge me 2 times, in some cases even 3 times more than my NJM premium. No thanks!

One key insurance thing is the "lawsuit limitation" option. If you take the option you save ALOT but you can't sue anyone unless your REALLY seriously hurt.

I paid NJM about $1500 this year (was $1700 last year but they pay dividends and give discounts year after year). I have a $1000 deductible for collision and $200 for comprehensive. No points, no tickets, no accidents. My age.. we'll i'm in the younger crowd, i'll say 20's - 30's.

I agree that saving money is great.

But then wait until you have a claim and want fast service ... HAHA HAHAHAHA!

My State Farm annual is $1090, multi car, multi line, $250 deductible.

Exactly- you get what you pay for. State Farm has come through for me several times, without any hassles or delays. btw- State Farm has been breaking down insurance rates based on manufacturer (as opposed to just body type), and I recently got a reduction because I drive a BMW-lower theft rates, less bodily injury liabilty.
