On the commute home, my car decides to die yet again. So now I'm sitting here waiting for the towtruck and posting via my iPhone.
I think it's time to move the eff on - this is getting old...

Oh ya, I just got my car back from service last week - a few thousand dollars worth of work. So this is really pissing me off!

Sorry to hear that, man....
I know exactly what you're talking about - as far as (unexpected) repairs are concerned. Had plenty of those with my 2000 E46, before I picked up a (much less old) E60.
What exactly are you driving (version?), and how many miles do you have... if that's of any importance?

Not that I'm a mechanic.... but what do you think it is this time?

EDIT: just saw you're driving an 545i. Nice car though...

Symptoms,(aside from "died")? Error messages... anything prior to it dying?

you just spent 5k at the dealer for "peace of mind". sorry, but you need to find someone else to work on your car.

I brought it back to the other dealer/shop that I normally go to, plus it was closer to have it towed there.
Thanks for the insightful comment, this forum really could benefit alot more from thoughtful responses like yours...

+1000 The dealer better fix it this time, don't take any crap - you just got it back, paid $5k to get a working car back and it dies? Epic fail Dealer IMHO

How many miles do you have on your car? That part should actually be irrelevant considering the stealership just worked on your car. Sounds like something major, whatever it is dont take it sitting down. Be adamant and demand that they resolve the issue, keep us updated. Best of luck with the problems.

I wonder if anyone has ever researched the correlation between modded cars and their potential for increased issues.
