Just kidding. But I do have a concern on how easy thief's can get a hold of our Bimmers. Is this really possible with E60's in the US?
Any other solution besides a Viper alarm. Low Jack is after the fact option.

Why would you want to steal a car that likely has BMW Assist and can be tracked? Unless the thieves have a way of disabling the Assist module, stealing a car equipped with BMW Assist is like stealing a cell phone. It's so easy for the authorities to track you down.

If someone wants that car really bad, no matter what car it is, it can be done. Majority of the crimes are crimes of opportunity. All you can do is lock it in a well-lit area and don't leave any valuables in the car visible from outside. If all of that didn't prevent the thief from stealing, call the insurance folks. After all, it's just a car. Take it as an opportunity to get a better car.

What about a good alarm system like the Viper with key fob code protection and tracking service? It's probably cheaper overall than LowJack

I think there is a very simple solution to this high tech problem. All that is needed is a good old fashion 5 dollar kill switch. U can wire it to the starter silenoid wire , the ignition switch. Or,,, the hot wire to the fuel fuel pump. Which I think is the easiest to wire, since the fuel pump is under the rear seat. With the fuel pump cut off,, and the switch hidden, they can try to steal it all day long, and the car will never start.
