Best public road - Houston, BW8 - south portion between I-45 and 288. Once you get on top of bridge, you can see all the way to the next bridge with very limited access.. About 2 miles. Let it rip if no cops are in sight. Go early Saturday or Sunday morning.

I used to drive my Z4 weekly across 60km of fantastic road called the "Sideling" to Scottsdale, Tasmania. The experience is just as much fun in my E60.

N?rburgring- from what I have read and seen in videos....that would be my ultimate driving experience with the Autobahn a close second for driving no limit speeds on a public roadway

I agree with "the Ring", followed by the Autobahn and then the salt flats (where I couldn't hit anything).
For the Nurburgring (sp) I'd hope a new set of tires/brakes were part of the deal 'cause I'd turn off all the stability controls on a couple of the laps allowing me to do it sideways!!

For public roads, the Blue Ridge Parkway is a nice drive with curves, mountains, and great scenery but there's always slow pokes and increasing patrols. The Tail of the Dragon on the TN/NC border is an incredible road with 318 curves in 11 miles. Unfortunately it is also being heavily patroled on weekends.
