As for me, I like Automatic, so I would still go with an E60. But, it seems from the posts on this forum, there are quite a few posters who would have chosen another car.

I voted no but it's more of a mabe not. I would take a closer look at the diesel E-Class. But if it were an option between a Diesel BMW vs MB that choice would be easy.

For my part, I definitely wouldn't buy another BMW if a manual weren't offered, or, at the bare minimum, SMG. Interestingly, the availability of a manual transmission is one of my highest purchasing priorities.

One "No" vote yet three votes under "If you answered no" -- kind of confusing, I suppose...

Yeah, I screwed up the poll. I tried to correct it with another poll, but that one did not work either. I apologize to everyone on the board. It looks like the system requires that EVERY question be answered in the Poll. In the Poll I had set up, the second question was dependent upon the answer to the first quesion. I would love to see a correct Poll that answers the following questions:
If the E60 did not have a stick, would you still buy it?
If Not, what manufacturer would you buy?
If the E60 was ONLY Automatic, would it still be the best luxury/sports sedan in this segment?

Chose the 5 series over the A6 and E class because could get a manual. Went with SMG, but if that was not available, would have been a manual no question.
