Hey guy's, I was wondering if anyone can shed a little light on this (no pun intended)
For the last 3 to 4 months I've noticed that on start up, my idrive screen is very dark/dull, and after 30 minutes or so it brightens up to the correct level.
Is this an early warning that the screens on its way out??
Thanks, Mick.

For those of you who have a dim screen on startup, is the ambient temperature cold where you are? It could be an issue with the LCD heating system.
Take a look at the following post for everything you ever wanted to know (and more) about the CID:

Well the problem has been in the colder months
, so once the interior warms up, the screen brightens up.
But I didn't have the problem last year, so maybe the screens going south huh??

Seems like the kind of thing I'd live with if it meant a many $$$ fix, but is a little annoying.
