Thumbs down

It has been snowing in Colorado for a few days so the car has been in the garage. When I decided to take it out this morning the Idrive screen was stuck in the menu mode. I could not even listen to a cd. When I came to work and on break went to start up the car to see if it started working which it did and everything is back to normal. Do you guys think this has something to deal with the cold? Has anyone experienced this and is this something I should be concerned about? Thanks

About a week ago the same thing happened to me. Call me crazy but i ejected the NAV dvd, waited about 10 mins, and viola, it reset and everything worked. As soon as i put the DVD back, it locks again(bad dvd). Try it out, tell me if it works.
Mike

DVD was a backup copy.

You can reboot iDrive without having to shut the car down and wait. Just push both eject buttons (DVD and CD) and the volume knob at the same time.

Thanks for the advice I will be sure to try them if it happens again. Luckily it hasn't happened since but it was a drag to drive with no functions.
