iDrive software update??

I want to update the software on the idrive. It just seems like its getting slower in response time when i want to turn down the volume or change radio stations, browse thru menues, etc...

is there a way or a tutorial that i can do it instead of taking the car to a shop?

It sounds like I need the software "Autologic" to but other than that I would need the update package.

Any help would be appreciated B)

Or is there anyone in the LA/OC/IE area that do coding/updating software wise?

you need an ICOM cable/adapter, that much I do know!

i have the CLK Device (WiFi version) which is the OBDII connector. So now I would just need the software and update, thanks.

I don't think you can update it over the OBDII

I've heard updating software for MASK or CCC which is your nav/radio unit over OBD will take a LONG time. Those modules are really sensitive you risk bricking your unit. You will also need a power supply not a battery charger. I've updated my satellite radio via OBD using winKFP without issues.

I would recommend you take it to European Auto Source in Anaheim.

If you're VO is different let them know ahead of time that way I believe Jeff the owner uses Autologic a different way to update modules.

With Autologic he can update entire car in like an hour.
