Since I got my 528i in the summer I am not used to all the features that iDrive has. This morning it was cold here in good old NY. 34 degrees so like 0. On my way to school the iDrive system made a beeping noise "Outside Temp 33 degrees!).

That just made my day .

So if you are oblivious to the weather one day and you are on the road iDrive may keep you from getting a cold .

Yes, that is the freeze warning. It actually goes off at 37 degrees F or lower.

The first time that chime went off to tell me it was 37* I thought something had gone wrong with the car! I hadn't had the car long enough to know to look at the bottom of the screen for the message telling me why the "alarm" went off. LOL

If you stick your hand in, near the screen, it will keep it nice and toasty.

Quick Reply: iDrive keeps you warm :). (funny story)
