bmw idrive display remote control, do not stop engine, Can someone help, I think my girlfirend might of pulled out the key without pushing the stop button. Although I am able to turn on the car by holding the remote in the key hole and pushing the start button but it doesnt saty in place?? Has this happened to someone before and if so what are the step to follow?

hello...last couple of days ive been getting that msg as well and when i put the key sumtimes nothing happens and then when i try again it starts up. very weird but im getting the same msg as you are. ive got a 2005 530i anyone else had this problem ?

THe Next day the car was working fine with the other keys and when use the key with the problem started to work fine.
