Should the brightness adjustment work during daytime with the headlights off? I am talking about the adjustment using the menu option and the idrive controller (not the dash light adjustment).

I wear non polarized sunglasses and sometimes the idrive screen is hard to read. I was thinking I used to be able to make the screen brighter during the day but now the adjustment has no effect.

Can someone let me know if your brightness adjustment works with your headlights turned off.
