My Ride: 2002 330CIC with Sports and Premium (Sold 4/2005)
2005 545I Black Saphire Metalic, with Black Dakota Leather, Poplar trim. Sport Package, MTech Body kit and Spoiler, HUD, Comfort Seats, Navigation, Premium sound, CWP, Heated Rear Seats, Window shades. Valentine 1 hardwired, Aux input.
I drive is a must. Drove a non Idrive car while my Mtech kit was being installed yesterday, and hated it. The learning curve is different for everyone, but completely worth it. I will never go back.

I-drive is a great system and it does become second nature using it. Now that I'm about to switch out of driving BMW's altogether until I get my E90 M3 sometime in 2007 I'm going to miss this really useful feature.
It makes me laugh to think back to 2003 and the launch of the E60 following the introduction of the E65 when the nay sayers were slagging off i-drive. They were parading the ads that Mercedes were running in the US at the time which went something like "i-drive, no you drive". Having read last weeks Autocar article on the forthcoming models from Mercedes it seems that every model from the next C class to the next S class is going to get MB's version of i-drive. Bit of egg on their faces there I think.
