What is the slim black box that sits in the spare tyre well?
It sits and its thin side oriented long ways from front to back of the car and is around 4" long. And, is about 6" forward of the PDC black box.

Thank you Rudy, they must have changed the colour as now it is a black Antenna.

If so, I don't know if the color ever changed. It may have always been black -- I never bothered to look at one...

My Ride: BMW 520i, March 2004, Silver Grey, 68000 Miles, PDC, DIY iPod Setup with remote control, GLOVE BOX TORCH- YES!
It might only be a 520i, but you've got to start somewhere! It's my first decent ride, and I'm still only 22. And unlike some this ain't Daddy's - it's all mine!
Funny this should come up when it has, since I've been digging around in my boot trying to find if my PDCs are BMW aftermarket or someone-else aftermarket.
I have the white "Helbako" MPM box, but thats all. I just assumed that was all there was to it There is no black box for the PDC like in that photo (and I don't have comfort access either). So I only have one of the potential 3. Where is my PDC control box then? Is it possible I don't have one since my PDCs are aftermarket, with no connection to the iDrive? Or have they maybe just fitted it behind the back plastic wall of the boot, where the harnesses in that photo lead to?

Yes, I have the two modules in the photo and the third one. I mangled my previous reply, I meant to say the MPM has changed colour as mine is black.
Thank you again.
Thank you again.
