There's a thought... should be some sort of web site like leasetrader.com to take over vehicles where the owner disregards how nice of a machine these e60's are!

transport one's bike!

I ended up following this guy down a surface street this morning and into a parking lot. His bike was half hanging out of his trunk bouncing around as well as the trunk lid wide open as you see it in the picture. I couldn't quite tell, but i think this was a 550. I appologize for the quality of the pix as it's from my phone, but just had to share this with you...

How not to transport your bike!

oh yeah, I've seen many e60 owners treat their car like... a cheap korean cars. Probably they have nicer car at home and e60 is for grocery shopping.

Hate to say it but I did that in my previous car, a Lexus. It was a lease and I did not care about some small scratches on the bumper. I would guess that the owner of that 5 was either a leaser or had tons of money. Or i guess they just could have been a person who gave two sh*ts about their car. My 5 is owned so I would never do this.

Hi All

Yep no respect, the car must have come too easy to the owner....

My bike story goes like this.....my car's 1st owner was an old guy who clearly loved it, when I got it is was perfect (and still is nearly - however its a daily driver, work car + I have two kids go figure).

So though a set of circumstances I had to take my mountain bike to the shop to get it serviced, those of you who have bikes will know when you take the wheels off to stuff them in a car they become very clumsy, with the nasty crank at front etc, so being super careful (of both bike and car) I tried to place the bike into the car, only to have about a table spoon of black oily muddy water pour out of the seat post, straight though the towels...into the as new boot lining. And I had taken every possible precaution! (Moved my bike in my old 328i numerous time never a single problem!!!)

Moral of the story, dont ever mix stuff that should be in the SUV with this car fullstop!
