My Ride: 530d (Jan 2005) premium pack, pro nav, steptronic
My dealer will update my software version from 15.2 to 16.2 to fix - i hope - the TMC bug with SatNav Pro.
Anything I should tell him before or check after the upgrade ?

They can be troublesome to load and get all the systems re-integrated. When I was upgraded from 11.x to 15.0, it took four days to finally get it done right. Just be prepared for a potentially lengthy process. Some dealers are better than others, sometimes it doesn't take that long, but be aware of the potential for delays.
And sometimes newer versions have solved some problems while creating others...
