Hey guys and gals, I want to upgrade my 2004 525i non sport 16inch crappy wheels. Im not really sure what looks best or what sizes fit the best can anyone help? I know a guy who has some oem 645ci wheels that are 19's but not sure if the fitmet will look good or not? Anyone have any pics of a 525i with upgraded oem wheels? Thanks!

Take a look at alpinewhite's car when he had the OEM 166 wheels on his car. He too, has a 525i. Wheels make the car, so good thinking on the upgrade. Your car will look like a brand new car with them.

I'm going to PM him and ask him to post a few on this thread. I'm too lazy to look at his past threads. He recently upgrade to 20's, so all of his latest posts have those wheels on them. Stay tuned...

will the wheels from the 645ci work well on my car? Im not sure what style number they are..They are 19x8.5" 11mm offset front and 19x9" 18mm offset rear, and the tires are Bridgestone Potenza 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear...Will this make my car look too high? will they be too wide of tires?

They will fit, but they aren't the 124's. The 124's are the 18" OEM's that came stock on 545/550 Pre-LCI Sport Models and are now slapped on the LCI 535 Sport models.

Are the 19's for the 6 series you saw, these?

If so, I'm not a fan of these wheels on the E60 Sedan. If I were you, if you want to go with 19" OEM's, I would go for either of these:

19" OEM M5 Wheels

19" OEM M6 Wheels

Both wheels will fit your car, sport or non-sport. You'll have a decent gap in the wheel well with these wheels, so the car will look like it's sitting higher, but that can be fixed with some new springs.

Yep, those are the wheels I posted above. They'll work on your car. It's really up to you, but I don't think they fit the E60 sedan very well. I'm actually not a very big fan of these wheels at all, but again, that's just my opinion. If you like them, then go for it. But see what a new set would cost you before buying them used. You'd be surprised at some of the discounts out there. Quad_m offers good pricing as does Garry Romani of BMW of Newport. You can't go wrong with either vendor.

I like the 166 or 167 wheels over those.

Member alpinewhite will reply to this thread shortly. He's really good about following up. Hang tight and check back on this thread tonight or tomorrow. I'm sure he'll have posted pix of his 525i non-sport with his 166 wheels. I think you'll like them a lot.

Oh, that's a good deal. Are they in mint condition? If so, that's a solid deal. But remember, your wheels MAKE the car. If you don't absolutely love them, I'd hold off. There's quite a few members from time to time on the forum that sell their 166 or 167 wheels too, so keep an eye out or post a "WTB" thread on the forum. Good luck man!
