Great color combo.
You will be amazed at how far BMW has pushed the performance and technology of these machines. They are light-years ahead of the E38.
Two additional recommendations if you can change the order: HUD & comfort seats. Now that I have HUD I never will have a car without it. And the comfort seats are the best sport seats in any car ever.

The wait sucks, owners circle is never up to date, you'll get to know the receptionist at your dealer better than you thought you ever would, shipping company and weather websites will be .com favorites, then suddenly your new 5 will be here..

Welcome to the E60 club!
Did you consider the Auburn interior? - it looks fabulous with the white exterior IMHO. BTW, as of 2007, comfort seats are standard with the sport package.
Too bad you are stuck with a 550i vs. the far superior 545i.
