I was minding my own business around 65MPH on 84 Going West (Poughkeepsie, NY, USA) -- going toward NYC.

Suddenly, I turned my head to the letf and somebody passed me doing around 100MPH. I could barely see the tail. I took a deep breath..look to the left, look to right..look back everywhere to see if i could smell a tropper (bad move..i know ). I took a chance and pushed the Pedal to the medal. I am not kidding. My tutle E60/525 reached 120MPH in a wurry. I catched up the guy who passed me by. It was a 'dark grey 545'. He was doing like 100mph and i passed him while i was doing 120mph. He turned his head just to see who was zooming by him too.

Oh well..after all she (my tutle 525) is not as slow as i thought she was. Will I do it again? Nope, I am in the process of becoming a USA citizen. I need to behave. Any little thing i do wrong with the law can be against me.

Amigo

The high end is really sweet. I pushed it to about 125 coming across Kansas one day. Flat, straight, and no traffic. The excelleration was smooth and fast. Although we have 525's, don't forget, they are still BMW's. Be safe!

P.S. You've got no business f***ing around with a 545. Its all fun and games until...

Damn! I hope that didn't end with you getting one free phone call, and sharing a bowl of grog with a hairy guy named Bubba.

I had a 525 before my current 545...the 525 was more than adequate above 30mph...it was just the initial 30mph that frustrated me on occasion
