My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Some day I will move out for the winter from this cold freezing bear country.
I put on my winter tires last Tuesday and I'm glad for that.
Now the streets are icy but I feel secure - DSC is in use all the time.
The car don't look as hot as with the 19"ers but the silence in the car is astounding.

A E60/61 needs at least 18" wheels.
One of our brainy British members did get winter wheels in 225/45 18".

I agree wholeheartedly.
We had a tragedy here in my area this week, with the first four days of constant snow. A man was driving his 13 and 3 year sons home in the morning, the car skidded off the road and into a pond on the side of the road. He punched his window out, and dragged his sons to the side of the 10ft deep pond and then died in the water.
Police attribute the crash to "excessive speed for conditions" (he was under the speed limit), and "inadequate rear tires".
Pretty sad.
I was driving around the first day of the storm with my Dunlop SP 01s and got stuck on a level road and in a woman's driveway trying to turn around to head home. Not fun, but a good learning experience with the new 5er. A lot more squirrelly than my e39 with all seasons on the front and then swapping out the rears only for snows.
My winter setup (all four) was ready for install the next day.
Can't say enough about them. I drove though of 4-5" of freshly fallen snow today and DSC engaged once off a stop. Pretty awesome.
What is the biggest difference between the WRG2s and the RSIs?
