but you still have that 'i hope it locked when i left the car' feeling whenever you get out and walk away. and if you want to go and check itll reopen...so you have to give your key to someone to hold...who then runs off with it and steals it later. ![Frown](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/sad.gif)

If BMW can't unlock your door remotely. I think they will sent a lock-smith to unlock the door.
keep us posted, thanks.

BMW cannot unlock the car ala GM, they strongly advice against using a locksmith (apparently the anti-theft system will kick in and shut down the car completely). They recommend getting your spare key or have it towed to the dealership.
Trust me, I Learned this the hard way when the "car wash" dude locked my keys inside the car.

How about calling BMWE assist, tell them your problem and I bet they will dispatch a service call with a tow truck and the tow truck operator will be able to unlock your car. Let us not forget that before Onstar & Assist and whomever, we all managed to lock our keys in the car at one time or another. These tow truck guys know what they are doing and if not I bet BMW Assist will get a locksmith out to where you are ( Well maybe). And if all fails try a taxi driver or the police, both are very skilled at getting into locked cars.
I am sure that the tow truck guy will have this "Slim Jim" or whatever they call it toslide into your window and unlatch the door. GOOD LUCK!
