I was told when I signed up for BMW assist and connected drive that I would not be able to use BMW online as my car is too old, well I have just enabled it using NCSexpert. Can`t believe it .

Have it as well ! It's a pretty cool feature, but is too slow!

It is kind of slow but considering i`m not supposed to be able to have it I don`t really mind.

I just extended my BMW Assist program for my '07 ... but I don't think this is available to those of us with older models in the United States. If anyone knows otherwise I'd be very interested!

Does that mean you just selected a box to enable BMW online and all assist cars are capable of it? Or did the car need new software loading to enable it? I have BMW assist but there is no BMW online option in iDrive on my car.

I just enable three options, online, sim function active and one other i forget what it was. Makes me wonder if you have assist then this should work as well.

Where did you get the software from and does it work with a normal OBD2 lead i.e. Rosstech Vagcom lead(I have a hex-usb-can one).
