The 5 and 3 are very similar when you look at the badges , I see 530's all the time that look like a 550 and vice versa until you get really really close .....I'll bet it was a 550................don't feel bad !

What he said. Unless you're almost right up on it, it's real easy to confuse a 550i badge with a 530i badge.
