My Ride: 2006 550 SMG
Was at the dealer yesterday checking on my 550s status, and saw they had just received a brand new 550. I asked my salesaman for a test drive, he said no problem. WOW WOW WOW, what a car, this thing has a lot of power. Im glad that I got the SMG, this one was a steptronic, and the power was just to smooth for me. I have had manuals for 15 years. It was still great though. Active steering was superb, and so was the comfort access, and comfort seats. Overall the best car I have ever driven. And yes I did see a big difference in the power between this and the 545. Still both great. But when you pay more you want more.

Wow that's good your salesman let you test drive it. But not too much use with that much power in Hong Kong.

congrats! how easy did you find the comfort access to use?
That is I think I have heard you still need to place the square key in the steering column block... Just curious...

The question is:
If i order a car, I dont think i want any one else to mess around with before me.

[/quote]This car was for dealer stock. I really beat that car. It sure smelled when I took it back 30 mins later!!! The comfort access worked great, just walk up and touch the door handle, and the car unlocks, no need to insert the key fob in the steering column, just press start. When exiting you have to push door handle down, and it locks and alrm is set. I have never had a problem with all the advanced sytems in these cars, and I only test drove the 545 and 550. As far as the power difference between the 545 & 550, to me it felt like a significant difference. Doesnt mean the 545 should be traded in for a 550.
