Does this happen or has it happened to you guys? This only happens when i'm in the NAV screen inputting an address or looking something up; the i-drive wheel tends to spin freely w/o stop. The only way to stop it is if i move it to the left up or down - it's really annoying, however it doesn't do it any other of the settings. any clue what this could be or how it can be fixed? my 05' 545 is no longer under warranty so i don't want to go to the dealership to get robbed. Could this be a dvd issue?

thx-

have not experienced this yet in mine; possibly an auto scroll for convenience, it will scroll until you find what you want by pushing left, up or down...just a thought.

thx for the thought, but it's not autoscroll - i-drive goes nuts and spins like there's no tomorrow.

yes, i-drive knob spins by itself, but only in the NAV menu.

Hi - this is a known problem for older CIP versions. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=13746. Look for "Controller rotates on it's own without being operated."

That happened to me while test driving a car. The poor sales guy had no idea of what to say.

Good luck
