My Ride: 07 530i Silver Gray Metallic, auto, winter package, premium package, black leather.

2006 530i with 11, 500 miles.

I-Drive went dark and there is no way to get it back on line. Called Dealer and since I live 120 miles from the dealership in Oklahoma City I requested a loaner.....no loaner for 3 weeks.....so it won't get fixed for 3 weeks.

I have had more problems with this car......I won't buy another BMW.

I have delt with dealers in Oklahoma City and Wichita Falls, Tx and neither were any good.

have you checked the FUSE for the iDrive located in the glove box? Sometimes that gets loose or out, just a long shot, you probably checked it already.

personally I wouldn't buy a car if there wasn't a local dealer-- too much hassle. Also, did you buy the car from the dealer? My experience has been that I can get service promptly when I have a relationship with the dealership that involved my buying the car there. It's only fair, those that support the dealership get first shot at service. Good luck regardless.

buy this one:

you won't have any problems with it by looking for a dealer near you. there won't be ANY dealer worldwide. so you won't have to drive 120 miles

Have you ever considered moving closer to civilization?

No, but Peugeot is not much better...

That's the plastic toy called Trabant, from the former GDR...

I just moved from Amarillo to NE Ohio 8 months ago. While I never had any interaction with the Amarillo dealer, a friend of mine did with an X5 and he was VERY satisfied. Re isolation, I understand your situation. Still yet, if I lived 120 miles from the dealer, I'd go buy the E60 anyway! I bought mine after arriving here at the dealership in my county. The sales experience was outstanding, but follow up after the sale has been lame thus far.

Good luck!
