you have left out.

BMW original:

rubber trunk matt.
trunk net
floor matts
coat hanger (behind driver's seat)- i wear suits/jackets occasionally, very handy accessory.

FROM OTHER FINE MERCHANTS AROUND THE WORLD:

leather driving gloves, preferrably from Herm?s
rain-x washer fluid, they can be easily out of stock and comes in handy when you need them.

DEFINITELY NEW SHOES!! when you go pickup you car.

i also suggest a surefire 6p flashlight:
www.surefire.com

a VDO tire gauge
a towel/t-short/baseball cap in a nice kit bag in the trunk.

I hadn't thought of the flashlight or the tire gauge (or shoes ) yet. Non-polarized sunglasses to go with the HUD is my latest research topic. Anyone have suggestions?

My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.
Default

Got the reflectors from my dealer. They should pop them in prior to delivery

Also would recommend (worked my sales guy to get my accessories at his price):

- All weather floor mats from BMW - work great
- Non slip Cargo liner - bought it just for dirty loads (not that the loads in this thing are that dirty, but it works good) It really is no-slip.
- wheel locks
- sun shade (fits unlike the aftermarket ones)
- 3M protective film (Held off on this until I had three stone chips - I do alot of highway driving). Find a good person to install.

Also - tint the rear windows (cheaper when not from the dealer)

Waiting for Axxis Deluxe brake pads (not available yet for 545 sport) - hate the brake dust.
Belltronics built in radar/lazer jammer (still reading the directions).

Thanks for the input on the PIAA lights, was wondering about those.

And installed silver coated turn signal bulbs:

And you'll need a radar detector--get a Valentine 1. http://www.valentine1.com??
Here's a thread with good hard wiring instructions, and a diagram of how I ran the wires for mine:

I have never looked into radar detectors before, but I heard that they are illegal in some states. What are the legal implications for CA? Are they allowed? What if you get pulled over, do you have to hide the unit?

Not illegal in CA, but if you get pulled over and have one, you will probably get a ticket, so hide it.

Not sure about laser jammers - not many departments use laser yet - probably only about 3%.

Do you have a control/display unit with the Valentine. If so, where did you mount it.

Also, where did you tap into power?

Thanks

as i mentioned earlier in post #3, try flip over your trunk mat before ordering the cargo liner if you are just looking for someting non-slip. it fits perfect and best of all, it comes with the car .

Which system - Bel Pro RX75 Plus Concealed?

Is it installed yet?

If, so DIY or professional install?

Was going K40 undectable, but recent reviews panned it in favor of the Bel RX75 Plus. My issue with the RX75 is the display seems to be awfully large to be able to locate in a decent looking "built in" location.

What is the best place to read reviews of radar detectors?

That is a terrific suggestion. After all the complaints about BMW cupholders I am surprised that this is the first I have heard of it. I'm getting one.
