The daytime running lights in the Idrive is differnt from country to country.

Here in Denmark and Sweden we don't have that option to select "daytime running lights" because it's required by the goverment....
yeah but that is because you have them ON permanently by law. right?

but I know that in rest of the Europe the day time running light options is available with higher CIP versions. ICEMAN, can you confirm???? uhmm maybe I'm wrong.

Yep.
DRL is an option now, that you can activate through the dealer.
However, it is totally different to the US. DRL over here means, the "head" lights are allways on!

FALSE ALARM - FALSE ALARM

I've just tried it one more time since this thread was bugging me.
SURE IT DOES NOT WORK. SIMPLY NO MATTER WHAT RADIO OR NAV - MP3 does NOT work with old CIP versions.
CIP lower 20 no good.

Hi everyone,

I have watched the topics about MP3 issues and I thought that business radio can't play MP3 CDs but actually tried today on my car and to my surprise MP3 CD started playing and also showd ID Tags. I'm in Europe and my car has Navi Bus with Radio Bus. As I have read this is possible only in Europe and not in USA. Build date is 04 2005 but don't know about CIP version (it hasn't been updated). That's great knews I think.

Wish the best,
Allar
FYI
If you have Navigation Business you are able to play DVD/mp3, if you burn the songs on DVD disk with max 239 songs on it, at any high bitrate you like. You have 4.37 GB space, but 239 tracks limit.
ID Tags ara available too.

Thanks for the information nicke60gre. It's cool that it can play DVDs but it's a pity that it's limited to only 239 songs.
