I am about to purchase an M Aerodynamic kit for my 04 530i, and sells for 1900.00 from BMW dealer here in Atlanta GA, then $2000 to get it installed and painted. total price: 4300.00 TAX included, and all fees. QUESTION: Has anyone ever put this aerodynamic M kit on their e60 BMW yet, and if you how do you like it, have you have any problems, and what is a good price to pay for this kit?

Thanks in Advance.

Sincerely.

Sure I've done the M-kit and you can find a lot of discussion around pricing using the search function. The $4000 price tag is way too high. You can get unpainted parts for $1500-1700 on Bekkers.com or bavauto.com. I got the whole deal (parts, paint, install) with tax and a 10% parts discount (for BMWCAA) for $2700 from my dealer. Pricing from $2500 to $3000 is common but $4300 is a screw job IMO.

Hi Eddie,
Use either Gary from Newport BMW RI or Vaheh from Crevier BMW. I know Vaheh will sell the M tech kit to you for about $1280. The shipping charge will be around $200. As for paint and installation, search here for "body shop Atlanta" or go to bimmerfest, bimmerforums and e46fanatics and perform the same search. You will find recommendations from other forum members. That is how I found my body shop "West Coast Specialties" in San Diego to do my paint and installation. They were highly recommended by many people. All total, I paid $1380 including taxes for the body kit and $1700 for the paint and installation = $3080. $1700 is a little on the high side but get it done right the first time. I have seen where other members here have gotten the paint and installation for as low as $1100. I'm right in the ballpark that mihusky mentioned as typical ($2500 - $3000).

Hi Gary,

I am a member of the e60.net forum community under the handle "jiio." I would like to inquire what the cost would be for a staggered set of style 166 M5 rims. Front 19 x 8.5 and rear 19 x 9.5. Also, what is the cost of shipping to San Diego, CA. Thanks.

One more thing, when you get your M tech kit installed go and replace the bulbs that come with the kit with some PIAA 4170K Extreme White Plus lights. They will best match your Xenon headlights in color. Thanks to stream for this info.
