Slammed my RS-GT's into a curb. :'(

I couldn't believe it. Went to the new restaurant in town and of course parked my 545i myself - no valet to scratch up my new 19" RS-GT's.

Leaving the parking lot at night, make a right turn out to the exit and WHAM!! head-on into a f#%!*ing curb. I couldn't believe it. Passenger almost hits her head on the dashboard. Rims bent for sure now. (Passenger OK).

But didn't see a problem on the outside, drove home, no vibration. Had them checked out the next day since I had a dealer check-up anyways.

I was stunned. Rims and tires are perfect. Not a scratch, not a dent, not a hint of vibration at speed. Tore a little piece off the underside panel - no big deal. Thank God for forged BBS rims!

Drove by the site a few days later and the curb looks like someone took a pickaxe to it. Evidently I'm not the only one to hit it. Still feel like an idiot.

Your lucky, but don't let it happen again.

Did you not see the curb, or were you just not paying attention?

I find when I'm making a right turn, I give myself a bit more room as I don't really know or can feel where the curb is.

I don't have this trouble in other cars though.

He said:
Passenger almost hits her head on the dashboard.
That means he was looking at her...

I guess that's why...
You wouldn't look or reach over to your wife, but...

wolverine: I must tell you those are pride marks. (this should make you feel good)
I would take it to the highway and hit top speed to see if i feel any vibration, this is the best way to find out.

fell free to represent yourself as you see fit to the rest of the world... me, well, i always reckoned that the message was the medium and if a point is not expressed intelligently then the value of said presentation is questionable. but that is maybe just me...

capitalisation: point taken, sorry if it bothers you but it is more a convention than a rule
formatting: point taken, sorry if it bothers you
Your lucky...
just a brief English aside, if you don't mind... and, well, even if you do...
sorry
but this drives me crazy :bashwall: :bashwall:
BUT

your indicates possession (your car, your life, yo' momma, etc...)

and

you're is a contraction of the words "you" and "are" as in "you're lucky" equating to "you are lucky"

and no, i am not being a language freak here: it is a simple error that, if not corrected, really gives the wrong impression of your intelligence (or lack thereof)

anyway
if you want to ignore me, go ahead - i'll not mention it again
or flame me for criticising, well, enjoy
and
sorry for being
Didn't read the whole post, but I definately understand the difference. For the most part, I can write grammatically correct, but just posting a quick reply on an internet forum, not writing a book.

Honestly, I find your post to be patronizing, but whatever......

Skidster,

I find that when you cut your sentences off
like this
to be
quite annoying.

Don't mind
me though.
