Rear fog lights i presume? that threw me off. Does that just light up like one taillight really bright? here in the states we just slow down to a crawl and turn our hazards on, however I know someone with a US spec SAAB with rear foglights...

Actually, Audi, VW, Volvo, and Mercedes all have rear fog lights. I had to ask 3 times when I got my car where it was. Aparently BMW never made rear fog lights for North America (according to my dealer).

If the shape is the same then you 'may' be able to use the LCI switch because these switches are nothing but CAN-ID generators. So anything that the CAN BUS cannot understand it will ignore.
Was NV ever an option on the pre-LCI is a good question?

So that means there was NV on the pre-LCI now all we need is an EU member with Xenons, HU and NV to help our friend Alex. But I suspect the switch is going to be exactly the same like the one just posted.
Infact just for curiosity I'd like to see any EU member who has the Halogens, HU and NV. Just want to see how they stuff two knobs and 4 buttons in that case around the lights switch?

Yeah I have a 2007 550 with Hud nad NightVision. My car was produced in April 06. Pre LCI
