I have it, thought it was really cool when i 1st got it like a couple months ago.. works really good if you have NAV... mine is usually off tho because sits too low and the way i have my seat i can barely see it.... iv'e heard it can be adjusted about an inch or so but i havent botherd yet. when i do use it it's not a distraction at all.

I love it and at this point I miss it on other cars I drive. All cars should have it for the speedometer alone, not to mention the nav instructions, etc.

This is the first car I've had with HUD and I think it is a great feature. It is especially good with the NAV as the street and upcoming turns are shown. It also shows warnings and cruise control settings. I don't find it distracting at all and would consider it a safety feature as it allows you to spend more time watching the road rather than looking at your speedometer or NAV. I don't think I would buy another car without it.

I like it a lot. It is very well done except that you cannot display a few things I would like to see, such as RPM and transmission gear. Other than that, it is great, I use it a lot (always on) and I would get it again.

Once you get it... you never go back... unless you get an MB or Audi

I Quadruple the motion..

I would pay the price NO MATTER WHAT they're asking to get it on every car i have from here on out! Love it! It's the most useful, non-intrusive, informative (yet simplistic) option on any car today! I don't know why it's not being incorporated as standard on every car (or at least an option) by now.
To always just know your speed without having to look underneath the steering wheel is reason enough by itself. But to have the cruise settings in front of you -- as well as system message like low fuel, flat tire, etc..it's just nice to have it in front of you. Can't explain it -- but once you try it for a few minutes, you'll never go without.
As far as being an annoyance or too high or low ...that's a very odd observation or concern. Never ONCE thought "why is this perfectly placed, translucent speedo in front of me while i'm trying to drive without knowing how fast I'm going!!?" LOL

I liked it a lot on my MY 04 545. I ordered it again on my MY 07 550 sport.

Mine is on all the time. Without NAV, HUD would be an expensive toy.

I'd like to try it out to see what I (currently don't think) I'm missing.
