Hud
HUD shows the information a little skewed, how can it be adjusted?

Can you provide more details please? https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/5series...a52ee8b373.gif

Do not know if it appears on the photo but the light up a little to the left should not be displayed without there is some light that is visible due to the obscurity.
The speed is slightly sloping and a bit too far down. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/5series...061f9acdaf.jpg |

From what I recall there are adjustment knobs in behind the center display that allow you to adjust the height of the display. But the big question: is this a new problem for a car you've had for a while, or is it a new-to-you car?
My annoyance with HUD on mine is the display disappears when I have my polarizing sunglasses on. Unless I tilt my head to the side. Odd that BMW would have missed that in design. |

Given the angle of the windshield that the data is projected onto there is probably nothing BMW can do to improve the polarisation issue.
I can still see mine but it is a little faint. |

I can still see mine but it is a little faint. I dont think it has anything to do with the angle |
I just adjusted mine yesterday.
Try raising the image by adjusting it. There is 2 T10 torx screws holding the Idrive in. It will tip down and out. Let it dangle and grab about 18 inches of extensions for a 13mm socket and wrench. Loosen it little over 180 degrees then use a 6mm for the tip of the threaded shaft. About 90 degrees loosen (lefty loosey) should put it in the sweet spot. Loosen it more if it doesn't. If I would have known the 6mm would get stuck on the shaft I would have used some silicone paste in the socket. I got it out with a long needle nose and some wiggling. |

The thickness of the glass would give a double image in nearly any scenario I think. Neat wiki article. |
