:thumbsdown:At 48,000 miles my 2008 535XI still had the original HPFP, last month when getting a alighnment my dealer suggested I get the new fuel pump as the recall specified. Well I did, 480 miles later my new fuel pump crapped out. So much for BMW's fuel pump fix.

Everyone I can recall reading about that had trouble right after the install either got a faulty part or the tech messed something up during the install. Most guys have had no issues since the newest hpfp was released in dec 2010.
