How to tell if 550i has sport auto transmission

How to tell if 550i has sport auto transmission
Searched, apologize for the dumb question...
I'm in the market for a 2008+ 550i with the sport auto, I'm seeing a lot in my price range that proudly advertise "sport package", and while they do have the wheels, aero kit, seats, and steering wheel I don't see any paddle shifters or a "sport" button on the shifter, it looks like the same joystick in all the rest.
Do I have to see paddle shifters or the sport button to make sure I'm getting the sport auto? Or is there any other way to tell?

I read about a guy that retrofitted the sport shifter and steering wheel and flashed the programming...seemed like it was a fairly complicated endeavor
