Anyone know how to see what version of software I have installed? I had an Ipod kit installed in August and I'm about to add the sirius receiver and I want to see what version they updated me to.
When I put the key in 2nd position and hold the trip switch I get tons of German words with numbers, can I tell from the trip switch? Or through Idrive?

hello there and welcome aboard(well kind of, uve been here for 4month now
)
Back to the subject, sorry but you can only know ur CIP version by going to the dealer. As for the trip switch, this helps u reset some things on ur idrive, such as oil mileage,brakes mileage etc...
It has multifunctional features, better make a small search for it in the DIY section.It ll help u a lot instead of going to reset it at the dealer. It is helful if you are out of warrantee and have to pay for oil change and brake change, etc..
Hope this helped.Enjoy
