I am trying to determine if there is a software error, or if I really have a problem.
A side from an engine vibration which they don't think is a mis-fire, the car runs fine.

CHECK YOUR MILEAGE MANUALLY and let me know.? My 545i actually gets about 4-6mpg less than what the computer shows.? I am trying to find out what the problem with mine is.? Granted 22 mpg is not bad but the error is far too high.

I think I read a lot of people complain that the OBC is a little off...

21-23 hand calculated (miles driven and fuel filled) which encompases my daily comute of 80 miles round trip - freeway with minimal traffic. I have even seen 25mpg on a trip driving 80mph. I am not complaining about the mileage at all - I think it is outstanding.
It is the computer calculation that is off by way too much. I would think 1mpg error would be reasonable and takes into account human error, but 4-6mpg is a problem.
My manual checks are consistant over the 10k life of the car.
Right now I just ignore the computer calculation. Although it would be nice to get some other data to go back to BMW with.
