How to replace MPM [mini power module]?

Long story short, a LOT of snow came a few weeks ago and sat on my trunk lid for a while and it melted into water. Of course you can know what happened next, my MPM fried and my screen would glitch in and out. If I simply buy another (and get the same exact model MPM for my vehicle-specific so No programming, car will do itself) and plug in play should my screen come back on? Please help, my car is a 2005 530i.

Also, it don't look as if the wires in the harness connected to my burnt MPM are burnt so may be no need for harness replacement but I can do it anyways if have to. I just do not want to have to install a brand new head unit. My SOS light is on as well so I may believe it just could be an MPM issue rather than just the screen which I hope as a lot cheaper to replace.

I have same car. Having lots of difficulty with new wires not matching colors. Wish I hadn't cut them
