I last had a coolant flush in early June when I discovered I had a upper hose leak. I do NOT have an iDrive warning saying its low however i checked it and it was @ the minimum. My question is, is it normal for it to be at a lower level after all these months? I did run my AC evryday in the Summer and some Fall days as well

I've not had to top off coolant during the past 4 years.

I'm topping mine off once a month now. Didn't have to in two years before however.

I am topping mine off about once a month also. What is happening with mine is a little of the steam is escaping from the expansion tank cap as it leaves a white residue around the cap where this happens. I replaced the expansion tank and have purchased 2 new caps and they both release a little of the steam - not sure why this is happening.

Dont you have a thread about a leak???

I dont think you should have to top it off that often unless there is a leak somewhere - even a small one... it may be through a vent tube or near the back of the engine...

Maybe it isn't the cap but the tank that's the problem?

Thanks guys for all your replies, as I said I never got a warning, the stick just sticks out just a tad bit so its not empty but I suppose I'll add some more coolant why not
