I have a 2004 545.

What does it typicaly cost to add the M-tech front end and dual exhaust rear like the M5?
Including parts, labor, paint, exhaust work?

Also, do you know who does this type of work?

Thanks

$6k to $20k depending on your exhaust selection. Search in the parts forum for lengthy debates over the merits of various quad exhaust options.

Probably only 10k less than it would cost you to trade for a used '06 M5.

It's not that much. The whole M Tech kit painted and installed can be as low as around $2500. The M5 rear bumper is only about $500 I think. The expensive part would be the quad exhaust which could cost you anywhere from $1500 (Eisenmann) to $2700 (RD Sport). I'm not sure where you're getting $20K from...

BTW, OU812545, where are you in the Bay Area? A few of us here have had most of our mods done by CarLab Motorsport in Santa Clara. www.carlabms.com

He wants the M5 rear, not m-tech rear, so i figured 3k for the body parts, then 3-17k for the exhaust depending on what he wanted. $2700 for RD Sport is just for the cat back parts isn't it? That would work, but would still require installation. headers and cats are like 10k more.

I know, the M5 rear bumper is that not much. I guess someone like quad_m can confirm for us. As for the RD Sport exhaust, if you get everything including headers, cats and quad conversion, it's about $10K.
