Need to have 2 tires mounted, all 4 balanced and an alignment...what should I expect to pay at the BMW dealer?

Unless you know someone there, expect to pay double what it would be at a "regular" shop..

Why on earth would you go to the dealer? Go to a local shop that uses the Hunter Laser machine. You'll spend half as much and get better service. And, you'll be in and out much quicker than a dealer.

I paid $120 for my alignment when I got my 19's. I think mounting and balancing was around $50 for all 4 19" wheels, but then again, I had them mount my Blizzaks on my 18's, so I think they gave me a better deal the second time around.

yeah, why go to the dealer for that service, dealers are expensive as hell. just call a local tire shop(s) and ask how much... its that simple. different shops have different prices so just take a few minutes to make some calls and ask... if you have custom rims ask if they can work with them..

I just had 4 new R/F tire installed and balanced and alignment cost was $125 for mounting and balance and $135.00 for the alignment. I only let my dealer touch my cars.

If the shop has the hunter laser machine, would they be able to do the alignment on a car lowered with the active steering? Sorry, just a newbie confused on getting an alignment with the active steering. I've searched and read and have found that cars with active steering need to have the alignment done at a BMW dealer. Thanks, Paul

My dealer charged $159 for an alignment. This topic has been discussed here before and the price for an alignment from a dealer varies greatly.
Remember, these cars require a four wheel alignment, not just the front two. Some local garages do not have the equipment for a four wheel alignment.

Exactly, I am in a rural area...so to speak, Clarksville, TN. Iwant it done correctly, its not a pick up and if it wa the choices would be many!
