Im trying to maximize my miles per gallon. so far ive changed k/n filter , spark plugs. and that resulted in 1 mile more. 14.5 mpg as of right now mainly city driving with a heavy foot. The gas out here in north cali is probably the highest in the country. any suggestions.

Properly inflated tires, don't use your A/C, keep your windows rolled up, don't have such a heavy foot

My trip computer in the car has stayed between 23.2 and 23.5 since I took delivery in 2006 and put 25,000 miles on the clock. I don't drive with a heavy foot most of the time, but I still have my fun every now and then. Maybe the manual tranny makes a big difference??? Oh, and I am completely stock, but, I live and drive between 6,000 and 7,000 feet altitude, and that makes a difference due to less oxygen in the air, thus less fuel required. And of course, less power too.

OK, I realize this is off-topic, but man, that is a pretty car you got there.

Lose body fat, shed extra weight in the car, new filters, easy on the skinny pedal... and buy a Prius!

leaving the counter running for a long period of time returns very inaccurate results. i went on a trip and got about 26mpg, came back and resumed my city driving and after nearly 3 months it was on 20mpg. however, i only actually get 15mpg per tank.

try resetting it between fills (or just do a manual calculation between each fill) and i think you'll find your actual mpg is significantly lower.
