I hope they will choose more fuel efficient cars since they are the world nr 2 in co2 pollution
More taxes on heavy drinking cars could also be a sollution.
Taxing cars is bonkers.

Tax the fuel.

Oh ya. I see it now - Norway. Norway has one of the highest taxes on cars in the world. But you guys get higher incomes too. And i guess driving on foreign plates is out of the question?

I might consider it, but not sure if it'd be available in California due to emission restriction. Test drive and we'll see.

Hey! A very different question. Are you happy with the colour choice of your car? i am thinking of going for white for my next 5 series. its very very rare here in holland.

driving with foreign plates will give more time in jail than killing.
Taxes are more important than life
And yes, our income is higher than elsewhere, but also we have a rather high income tax and cars, fuel, tobacco & alcohol has sky high taxes.

I used to work in philadelphia, buying gas was ridiculous cheap, too cheap. Hope they will raise this to $8 pr gallon.

edit: regarding white cars, cant buy it here in Norway. Because one day I have to sell my car and then I will have to dump it cheaper because of that color.
Red is also not popular as its compared to fire engines trucks

Sorry for the hi-jack. Yes I really like color of my car. There is no worry of swirl marks, minor scratch or finger print Everyday heading from parking to the office, I look back twice to enjoy the look of my car

the F10 is still a good 2-3 yrs away. enought time to understand the current 535d and get ready for the new f10 535d with 300+ HP as standard

Are you sure? I thought I read in one of my car magazines that the F10 was coming out at the very end of 2008.

I would consider a diesel only if diesel prices would go down. Right now on the west coast, diesel cost more than regular and midgrade gas. Not worth switching to diesel. Some gas stations don't even sell diesel any more.
