My Ride: 545 modded the F out
Im driving from DC to CA and I know for sure Im not going to be driving 3000 miles on low pro tires so Im about to close a deal on some 17inch takeoffs from a 535. My question to you guys is if I throw them on will my car sit too low as I am running stock sport suspension?? Keep in mind I will have 2 other people on the car ( and probably a full trunk of crap I will be hauling back home)
should I just go with 18's just to be safe or will the 17s be ok? thanks a lot. Any suggestions

AFAIK Your ride height will probably only change a tad bit if you are using recommended 19" tire setup (245 & 275) what changed was the sidewall profile.
When in doubt plug in the sizes and you'll get the diameter measurement = http://www.1010tires...ecalculator.asp
And for a long coast to coast drive you'll be doing and lot more sidewall on the 17" to absorb the bumpy road will help a lot more than the 18" or 19"

You'll be fine man. Dont worry.
I had my 20's on and of course it was higher and I've got Bilstein PSS10's and lowered it. I now have the OEM 138's on and it looks great and no problems with hitting bumps and stuff with people in the back.

IF they're off a 535 it should not make a difference. the over all diameter should be pretty much the same for the E60s difference is the sidewall and the amount of rim you see...

got it. well then guess the biggest "difference" I am concerned with is ride comfort. Thanks for the clarification
