I'm waiting until 7500 miles or so. That'll go together with a software upgrade, recall notices, and other stuff I have for the dealer todo. They'll have a whole list of stuff from me soon!

1st @ 1100 mi (out of pocket)

Next...soon (just turned 8500mi), I've put in 3/4 quart of oil, I just got a low coolant level

warning, still some minor computer issues, and the recall letter is looming. I think I'll make a

day of it (I know they will), maybe buy the wife a new X5 while I'm there.

I like the recall letters...I can get them to do other stuff to the car at the same time and get a

BMW loaner to beat oooops I meant boot.

I am getting mine done next week. 6000 miles. I'll pay for this one, but the next one will be a BMW scheduled service so they will pay for that.

Mine should be around 12K. I was going to get one on my own at around 6-7K miles, but I got a little lazy and cheap.

I;ve got 8K on mine and the computer says its due in another 1,200 miles. Guess I'll wait for the computer to tell me. But I have a question, what would happen if I took it in to a BMW dealer and asked for it early??

They would ask you to comeback when an oil service was due or they might even charge you for it.

I did my first at 4,000 miles, paid out of pocket. Will now wait for service indicator, which says another 3,000 miles, putting the car at 10,000 miles.
