My Ride: 545i Sport
Model Year: 2004
Engine: N62
I look forward to driving it after a long work day. Car washing and polishing make me active on weekends (good for the heart y'know). Black on black needs a little more TLC than lighter colored cars. Click on below pix to see more of my ride.

I like my ride, and I haven't even gotten it yet. I keep trying to go to different dealers and tell the receptionist at the counter that I'm just looking, then I sit in different 5ers on the showroom floor until a sales dude comes over to ask if he can help, then I just say I'm only looking, and 'Oh, does this one come with floor mats?' or whatever the question of the day is.....
I just hope that the sales people don't recognize me too much....
I wish I could just get my car and stop being like this.

it's been 6 months now since i got mine, my only regret was not waiting for the nav and hud option. i couldn't wait at that time...gotta have one right away, local dealer didn't have any, pressuring me to order...maybe i should have listened. day one excitement really hasn't gone away!! got about 4600 miles on it, not really a daily driver but for pleasure rides only.
installed 19" staggered hartge's after about 800 miles. installed the rear reflectors, i never get tired driving it though, great feel for the road, no wind noise, active steering...need i say more? although its not a 545, my thirst for power is satisfied.
spent about a week at the dealership last month for some serious programming after that transmission fault and increased emissions fault, been great since! i'm sure there might be another bug just waiting to happen.
btw, saw a black 530i today parked at the doctor's office, 3 foot long scratch on the hood!!! i feel for the owner!!
my buddy who drives a porsche says the new 5 looks like a glorified camry because of the body lines...i told him that he's not just seeing what i am seeing.
best regards to all...and happy driving
