How do you set Advanced Climate Control in winter?

I mean, we all know that we have the possibility to set the preferred temperature and leave it during the whole year.
We also have the possibility to leave the "Snow Flake" button always on even in winter when we need to warm the temperature and we know that this features allows to "dry" the air blowed into the car.
How do you behave in winter?: do you suggest to leave the "Snow Flake Button" always on or do you consider it a waste of power and gas?

I realize that it may not sound logical to use the snowflake button in winter but the best advice I can give is to leave the system on "Auto" all the time (which usually turns on the snowflake.)
I've never had any problems doing it that way and the car maintains the temperature and humidity perfectly...

My Ride: 530i 6 speed
I have it with the "snow flake" off. Its been like that sinne October and I haven't touched it once.
I turned it on last wee and the smell coming from the AC almost made me puke....thats the disadvantage.

My opinion is that the need for AC just during the summer is the biggest missunderstanding ever
The snow (or water) you usually drag into the car will make the air inside your car saturated with water, and in the long term moisture will accumulate. Hence during driving the car/windows must be kept at a high temperature to keep them dew-free.
For me, who lives where the winter temperature is constantly shifting between -5?C to 10?C , the AC is a must.
I actually find the AC to be more important to have during the winter than summer!
Anyway.....my opinion: leave it on "auto"!

leave it on [auto] for climate like seattle wa.
but the best reason to leave on is will run periodicly in the winter months. by doing this the seals are kept lubed and will not fail as offen. the fix will over ride any gas savings.

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Rudy, congrats, Steelers did go all the way
I usually have the A/C "flake" on at most times,
but when it is really cold, like under -10 C I have it off.
The compressor will not even start in these temperatures.
