after 4 months of ownership, i finally got my first little marks on my back bumper from some bonehead who didnt know how to park his car behind me.
does anyone get upset over this and run and go get these repaired...or do you buy a little bottle of touch-up paint...or do you just take it as this sh*t happens (especially living in NYC) and its inevitable.

I take it as shit happens. I have always driven (and parked) all my cars everywhere. If I can't enjoy it and take life's little nicks and dings in stride, then what fun is even having the car? Plus, if it's on a plastic bumper cover, I don't really worry about it. On metal, a little touchup every now and then.

It is just a car. Sure, take care of it but don't agonize over every little scratch or chip.

Shit happens. You have to understand that whatever you do, there will always be people that don't care about the car next to him/her, is envious of your car, and/or don't know how to drive. Park far and take the long walk. It's good exercise too.

Notice the mark could have been an accident and totally unintentional.

Years ago, my wife got out of her car on a very windy day, and the wind blew her car door and dinged a brand new Chrysler 300M; brand new. She left her info, but fortunately, the owner never called her. In any case, not everyone will leave their info, but again, shits like this happens. There more important things in life than to get mad about it. Sure get mad, have a fit, punch the hell out of the punch bag, and hopefully, you'll feel better. Only time will heal this wound. Trust me, it happens to me many times before.

thks guys. this happened last week and i was kinda pissed off about it at the time but im fine now and like someone said...in NYC this sh*t is inevitable, so no need to get worked up over it....sad but true.
i know i try to be considerate of other peoples property, so it upsets me when others arent of mine.

On the other hand, those guys who do paintless dent removals are amazing to watch...it is almost 'fun' to see the little door dent/ding magically disappear from your panel!
