I previously posted that i was hearing a "cracking" sound from the front of my car when driving on uneven surfaces. Thanks to your help, you guys found the problem to be related to loose strut bar bolts. This makes sense to me.

The problem is now, how do get to bolt # 2 and # 3. Refer to the attachment. Bolt #2 and #3 are tightly tucked under paneling.

Remove the microfilter boxes, remove the base, then you can get to the bolts pretty easy.

 

its pretty easy to get at those rear bolts.

that rubber trim you see there, lift it up with your hands gently. it snaps right out of place. underneath that rubber gasket/housing/trim you will find the two remaining bolts.


im going to sand/prime/paint my sway bars this weekend and i have already scoped out the access points. good luck, should be easy!

 

See? Just do what Chris said. If you need a DIY for it, search for how to change the brake fluid, the steps for removing that cowl section are there.

 

I just completed the job, took me about 15 minutes. Thanks for everyone's help.
